A collarless Chanel coat in black wool tweed with a fine textured weave, cut long and lean to sit well above the knee. Six engraved silver-tone CC buttons run down the single-breasted front, with a matching button on each of the four patch pockets — two at the chest, two at the hip. Bracelet-length three-quarter sleeves and a rounded jewel neckline keep the line clean, and the back is shaped by a horizontal yoke seam and a center seam that release into a curved shirt-tail hem. The tweed shows no thinning, pilling or button loss.
